It was a pleasure to shop for food for the next three weeks this morning, as the offer in the supermarket was different form what I had the last times. It is so easy to get tired of trip food! It has first of all to last long in the heat, not to melt, not to go off fast or at all. Second it has to be swallowed easy and again and again, and this is most of the time the
problem. I had thrown already food away just because I have overeaten myself on it.

The press conference was a bit on the small side, one major TV station and one major press team, plus a few guests. But they got their Q+A! Thanks a lot to Katrin Lehmann from the German embassy in cooperation with Hennie Mareis team from Paddle Panama to organize the event with free food and drink!

With Edgardo, a doctor, Panama City's probably oldest and most active paddler!

A special big thanks to Tim Hetherington, who was making up my kayak almost looking brand new, sanding all the beach repair spots off and making a proper repair job allover. Tim is a skillful handyman and a great friend!

    Freya,
Hi! I’m glad you’ll be able to get some rest, since you look tired. The challenge you’ve undertaken isn’t just a physical one, as you know, but also a political one–and who knows which part takes the most energy.

Thanks for taking the time to write the blog so the rest of us can enjoy your breath-taking journey!

    Freya,
You look tired, so I’m glad you have a little time to rest. I also am curious about the type of food that does match your criteria.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write the blog!

Your hair turned out great as I don’t spot a single gray, but you neglected to tell us what was on your grocery list? Of even more interest, what is the status of your permit for the Canal?

  • Randall Lackey:

It is so easy to tire of the same oldfoods from day to day and I only have ever just packed for a week.I cant imagine how you can tolerate the same for so many days on end.wweek after week.It super good that you ran up on Tim to do the surely needed proper repairs and service your baby.We can never give our boat or paddle to much care.Enjoy your time off.
