A perfectly timed event for me to get back into “paddling mood” at the end of my long summer break, close to the start of the final leg of my circumnavigation of South America mid-October.

My sponsor Point 65 invited me to join the team in Nürnberg at the Paddle Expo 2014. Thanks to Richard,Tomas and Felix Öhman and to Matts to look after me so well! I was asked to present my Point 65 “Freya 18″ expedition kayak, while doing networking to refresh old contacts and to get new ones. A great place for this purpose! Amongst my other sponsors, I had the chance to meet and greet the new event- and sponsorship manager at THLUE’s, Björn Strid, as well as Natalie Jörg, Haglöfs Central European Marketing manager, who had sponsored also the dealers night at the event. My long-term sponsor Kokatat was represented by Steve O’Meara, Kokatat owner for over 40 years, and by Jeff Turner, Sales/Marketing/Design Manager. Thanks to all of them to support me so well over the years and on my trip!

Three days I had the chance to meet many paddling enthusiasts and dealers from all over the world, and got already a bunch of invitations for speaking events after my trip. From China, South Korea, Singapore, Greece, Italy, Spain, Russia, Croatia, Slovenia, Poland, Britain, all Scandinavia and and and…if I will be able to take them all up, I will be on the road again for quite a while! Thanks for  wanting to hear about my experiences! But first I will need to finish my big trip…
