trip days left: 35
straight distance left: 683 km
Pos: here
Loc: Ponta dos Lencois
Acc: tent
Dist: 53,8 km
Start: 5:55 End: 15:50

Great paddling conditions with the wind changing back to the ENE, aka offshore and calm with no waves. First calm, then lightly pushing and with going more due west, fully pushing from behind. But the coastline in this wide bay is not as interesting than in the others, still nice. Mostly thick reed and low beach with some cows. Many fishing boats, working huts and that was it.

I aimed for the last spit before I arrive at the city tomorrow, which is actually not the big one, Pelotas but the beach village before, L’Aranjal. My third host in almost a row named “Leo” is running a wind-kite-kayak-SUP school there. See you soon tomorrow! It may be around 2 pm,40 km to go with good winds and about 5,5 km/h, leaving around 6 am.

I think if I had a choice to make a major change in my life and slow things way down, I could get into running a small kayaking, sailing type business like that for a long time….ahhh, dreams of a slow simple life.Safe Paddling Friend.
