Day 168, Saturday, 04.07.2009

Really not much to say about this day – nice cliffs were exchanging with sandy beaches with crystal clear water. I went for some dips to stay cool after the wind calmed down again at lunchtime, not scared any more about crocs or stingers. Lovely, actually!

Probably most people would love to swap with me on that day, but even the most beautiful scenery can be boring on the long run if it is all the same and not much paddling action goes along in a heavy boat…and if you feel a bit lonely after the nice “honeymoon” the last 9 days…missing you, Greg! But I’ll keep on paddling and doing my “job”…

On one hand it feels great to have a new partner and lots of nice dreams and future fantasies on the mind, on the other hand it is the toughest thing in the world to part and to get on the water again by myself…I’m honest that I wouldn’t mind to be done with the trip at some point and to move on to do something else. BUT I’LL FINISH!!! No worries! When the going gets tough, the tough get going…
