Well done Freya,

I was in Perth last week and called in and had a look at your Kayak and had a talk to Terry.

I sat there looking at your Kayak thinking of the stories that it could tell for about twenty minutes.

Anyway mate keep up the good work.

We are all thinking of you down here…

Rhys

You’ve certainly seen the good the bad and the ugly (Whales, Sharks and Crocs) of the oceans around Australia.

Hey Freya,
I was particularly chilled by your shark story – every Hedland local I have encountered has warned me not to enter the water around these parts – but as there’s nothing much else to do – i’m ready for them (and as a novice, i pray i don’t fall in!).
What an awesome journey. I’m seriously envious and will look out for you upon your Hedland approach.
Contact me if you need accomodation.
Cheers, Sheree

Hello Freya,
Sharks are attracted to vibrations and flashes of light (like the silver of a fish turning). Are you able to make sure your rudder arrangement won’t give rise to these things?
I saw a documentary on Magellan last night. You posess the same focus and courage.

Gra

You may be a little bored with everyone saying the same thing Freya, but what you’re doing is incredible and inspirational. You’re one of those rare people truly squeezing everything out of life.
Much respect.

Good going Freya – I hope you keep the shark tooth for a pendant! What a memento!
As for the NZ earthquake – it was a huge one, but very little damage reported at this stage. The Tsunami potential warning was cancelled and it resulted in about a 17cm increase in wave height locally. So definitely no fears off the coast of Oz.
Bon chance, bon voyage … travel safely!
Natasha and Paul.
