Day 248, Tuesday, 22.09.2009

Lorna and I made another visit to Cape Leeuwin lighthouse this morning, to ease my mind that 5 m swell are no good paddling around the cape…it was still breaking everywhere. For sure a bit less than yesterday in gale force and 7m swell, but nothing you like to be in.

So we went for the tourist path and visited two very interesting caves of the area. I did get sore calf muscles from climbing all the stairs! Just stupid I didn’t take a spare battery for my camera, and it didn’t work inside the caves…but we bought a ticket for visiting three spectacular caves, and there is one left for Thursday or Friday. After two you had enough anyway…

I couldn’t start my computer yesterday any more, and had to wait some scary hours until I got a password sent from Germany. I needed it for resetting some stuff and clean some surplus files which disturbed the starting process with the help of Lorna’s neighbor Luke Petersen. Actually, *he* did all the work…I don’t have much of an idea what to do in such a case…Thanks very, very much, Luke!

Funny, how dependent you can be on the information and work you think you need a computer for, and the information you provide yourself through it for the rest of the world…if it is not working, you feel kind of naked and helpless…good to have friends who can help in such a case!
