endless 90-Miles Beach…

…eventually is almost coming to an end at Lakes Entrance!

It happens that the most lovely beach is getting boring to look at when there is nothing happening ashore…no fishing lines to take care of, no bathing families to wave at…some eagles over the dunes, but no marine mammals at all…just the endless waves coming ashore were still entertaining to watch and even to ride on, as close as I could get without being caught and thrown sideways at the beach…funny game…

I got sick of wet hair all day, and tried to cover it with my scarf…moderate success at night…it really desn’t give you a comfortable feeling at night in the tent…

Can you imagine how a hot sweetwater shower feels after 9 days in the bush? Washing all the salt, sand and sunscreen off, soothing the sores on the skin…

I contacted John Woolard and Mick McRobb, living close to Lakes Entrance. Mick was luckily home! So I decided to take the day off at Lakes Entrance, and to go in for a pit stop at Mick McRobb’s place.

Dinner with Mick and Lyn was still like I was comig out of space into civilisation again – I wasn’t fully there…Lyn cooked a delicious feed of homegrown veggies and chicken. Thanks a lot, Lyn!
