I was able to fix a schedule now and to book a flight!!! Yeah! Troubles with getting my boat in time are mostly solved now…

I’ll arrive in Sydney, Sunday 11th, 20.05.

Why Sydney?

Epic Kayaks will not be able to provide my expedition version epic 18x sport in time, due to unexpected troubles on moving the factory in China from one location to another. They are working hard on solving the issues, and will probably be able to ship my promised “strong” expedition version 18x sport in about 6-8 weeks.

As I don’t want to delay my trip start any longer any more, I decided to use a modified production model epic 18x sport Performance in white, with some reinforcments and modifications. This will be allright until I’ll get my “real” expedition boat hopefully when I’ll be passing Sydney. Just avoiding BIG surf landings…

Means I’ll be checking on and picking my modified boat from Sydney, load it on a rental car and will be driving down to Melbourne mid-next week.

Launch probably Friday or Saturday, depending on weather and shopping status…

Thanks to all the offers from friends and other companies to use (temporarly) their kayak, but I love my 18x sport! Free your knees is the key… 🙂
