Technical help needed!!!

WHO CAN HELP???

%&$§&%$!!! But probably my mistake…

I do use three memory sticks to save my pictures and stuff, Flash Voyager from Corsair, with 32 GB each. www.corsairmemory.com

One of them – my MAIN ONE!!! – is not flashing any more – litarally – the light on plugging in doesn’t flash and shows it’s working – means it is recognized on plugging it in as an external device F, but not as Corsair as usually. It is shown as a new device but which I can’t access anymore – what to do???

Luckily I’ll be in Sydney soon where there might be a memory “stick recuer”???????????????????  What can I do???

It did happen not that I was extracting it without clicking on the extracting button, no, it was there, and just as I wanted to open it it started to work a long time and then was gone fully…

I need my pictures!!! I should always save them double and triple :-(((( – learning…

The second technical problem is that my PDA (with my mobile phone included) starts to go down…I use a T-mobile MDA Herm 300. First this morning the touchscreen wasn’t working any more, but I could still acces most things via the keyboard, which was annoying enough. It was happening just out of the sudden on writing an e-mail, and now on switching it on it starts, but then it even switches himself off again soon…

If I killed this device by using it in heat and saltspray, this could be replaced, but my pictures are hard to replace!!

PS the advice given on some of the data recovery company websites suggests not to attempt using the faulty memory card for more photos until they have had a chance to recover the data..

All best wishes for the trip, PeterO

Hi Freya and Stephan,

Wondered about the possibility of a professional data recovery service such as Payam or Technetics (i think both have outlets in Sydney and I expect there are others). They might have technical resources we only dream about – what do you think? Suspect there wouldn’t be much problem raising the cash to get the job done.

Meanwhile suggest the device be packed safely somewhere reasonably cool and dry until Stephan or a data recovery company can look at it.

All the best, PeterO

Hi Freya & Stephan Meyn,

This technical doc from Corsair might help – it may already be the one Stephen has suggested but I thought I would post it in case. Hope it helps the situation.

Try something simple: Is the battery knackered and does charge up enough to let you work the device? Possibility if you don’t drain it down pre-charging.
Good luck

Freya
when you get to Sydney give me a call (0414 599 624). I will see what I can do and try to get that device talking again.
I have checked Corsair’s forums and there appears to be a a solution.

Stephan
