Big shiop traffic in the Pnama Canal, I paddle outside the bouys

Freya is on the water again and her updates are once again delayed by two days for safety reasons. Likewise she has decided no longer to post her estimated landing spots in advance. Mostly because she expects way more landing options for the next stretch.

A few words on Freya’s communication gear:

Freya temporarily increased the delay for her posts to appear from two to three days . This means that her update from Saturday will first appear Tuesday night (or even Wednesday for the Europeans).

I did speak with her a couple of hours ago and she’s perfectly fine and in good spirit.

For the time being Freya’s blog updates will be posted with a delay(two days currently) for safety reasons. Updates of the trip map are likewise delayed. Her family and the authorities are kept posted as normal.

Still she did have a nice paddle Thursday – no worries.

First (horrible) self portrait across Cape Horn, not really relaxed...

Freya just now called to tell me that she made it around the Cape! She is now pointing the bow to the north using as much of the weather window as possible.
