Terra Santa Kayak Symposium Israel

I’ll be joinig the

Terra Santa Kayak Symposium in Israel

from January 8th to 16th as a guest speaker and teacher.

Thanks, Omer, Saggi and Karel, for inviting me!

I’m looking forward to meet my “weather man” Karel Vissel for the first time in person! Thanks very much, Karel, for your great reliable work on my Iceland, New Zealand and Australian trip!

Lofoten/ Norway

Talk about going to the freezer from the frying pan. A few days after I returned home from warm and sunny Hawaii, I was invited to teach for the weekend in the beautiful-but- far-chillier Loften, Norway.

Jann Engstad from Lofoten Aktiv was kind enough to invite me to lead a rolling clinic as well as do a slideshow about my recent circumnavigation of New Zealand’s South Island.

Epic Molokai World Championships Surfski 2008

When I thought of paddling a surf ski in America’s 50th state a bunch of images came to mind: warm water – BIG surf – rough water – sunshine – hardcore watermen and women — so even though I have none of the above on my doorstep in Germany, I figured that it would be exciting to join the Epic Molokai World Championships Surfski 2008. After all I’d had a great time at my first surfski race in Puerto Rico!

On the Road again…

Two by two kayaks – two epic’s, two NDK’s, two Rockpool’s, two Waterfield’s – one 3-pieces Explorer is allowed to travel inside!

…or better "On the water again" soon!

Can’t wait to hit some rough stuff , as my place had mostly flatish water only to offer. And I need MORE TRAINIG!

I’ll teach at the Anglesey Sea Kayak Symposium until Monday 5th,

Picture albums are finally up!

I uploaded all of my New Zealand trip pictures! As well as the pics from my 33-day trip around Iceland. Enjoy!

Priorities…and the most eventful day of the NZ-trip

Being back home after three months abroad my mind was filled with all the post-trip work I still had to do:  sorting out pictures for a slide show, writing up the last days of the journey and, of course, my "real" work so I could earn money…

I found some NZPA finish day pics

I’m back home! Some dumper launching pics…

I made it safely back home: several uneventful flights and no extra charge for surplus weight…plus low shipping fees for m kayak…lucky gal!

What a difference it is to return home to winter! Cold, grey skies and short days…but I like the seasons so there is no time to be sad…

I’ve been busy since my return with buisiness meetings, checking on my shops, answering e-mails, phoning friends and editing all of my many pics !
