Red wine was served in carafes with a very slim end – the goal was to aim directly into the mouth, the more distant the better…waterproof black jackets were sometimes very helpful :-)) …

They are called purrons, and are used to be able to socially drink wine in a group, and are very common in Spain

That kind of bottles are really for olive oil, not for wine. I have no idea why the organisers had chosen them for wine, but it was fun to watch 🙂
