Tour de Gudenaa

Tour de Gudenaa w

It felt a bit strange to paddle the traditional 120 km Tour de Gudenaa race on a almost not streaming flatwater river in Denmark in my OZ kayak, but in the seakayak class I easily won the woman’s division in 12:11:52 hrs- as there were only two woman at the start in this clas :-)) – amongst about 675 other paddlers in different classes.

Overall my time in a seakayak as an untrained non-racer felt allright – I challenged myself to the limit with a private “race in the race” with my constant follower sitting in my neck, Preben Nielsen – thanks for the kick! 🙂

I wonder how I’d have done in a lightweight racing kayak…
