Mon 14/02-2022 Day 666

Pos: 13.4657,-89.2527
Loc: Playa San Diego
Acc: Hilleberg Allak 2 tent
Dist: 0 km

I sleep well, with the calm feeling not to get up this morning. A pity, as the sea and surf are low for an easy launch, but I know strong gusty offshore winds will direct the day and evening. And my next destination would be the (hopefully accessible) Rio Lempa in fifty kilometer’s distance, or maybe even the estuary ten kilometers before. We will see if I can paddle in there, or not. I very much hope I can, as more surf landings and launches are not my favorite job.
The day becomes hot in my open beach camp, but I am too lazy to follow the late invitation of the nearby beach restaurant to camp in their shade. My sleeping bag outside on the tent will do. I am able to purchase bottles drinking water for refill, and afford twice a cooled liter from the fridge. So good!
I think a guy from the tourist police keeps all day an eye on my camp. Thanks, though I feel quite safe here with my kayak as VIP company.
I am fighting in vain to get my THREE UK international prepaid sim card phone working as a hotspot for my laptop, annoying. I spend over two hours in a chat and calls with the agent, no luck. My laptop connects easy to another phone hotspot, and another phone seems to connect to my hotspot. Only my phone and laptop do not like to pair, very strange. Besides this annoying technical issue, I have at least enough battery power to do business calls and can talk to my loved ones. The only issue is my phone shows many times it is close to overheating. Life on a hot beach is not easy 😊
