! Feliz Navidad – Merry Christmas – Frohe Weihnachten !

Israel 005.JPG
Missing my home, and two of the most important people in my life! My mother Annemarie and my son Helge...pic taken on our x-mas 2009 - note the snow outside!

Merry X-mas to all kayakers and non-kayakers out there, who are happy to follow daily my blog of the first circumnavigation of South America!

Thanks to my family, friends and sponsors, and to all local and other people in the world supporting my trip!

I hope you are enjoying my daily blog updates! When I am reading your friendly and encouraging  comments, it seems like a huge community is happily reading my daily episodes with all the successes and mishaps of this epic historical trip. I am glad to write, as I put myself on it as a trip goal, and it is nice to reflect the events of the day on the computer if there is not really one to talk to in my tent besides penguins and seals…

My blog is like a daily modern soap opera, isn’t it? Happy internet times…

Making this soap opera reality requires  besides a positive and focused mindset endurance, patience, skills, strengh and – a lot of money. My sponsors are supporting me with a lot of gear, but with very little cash to pay expenses like flights, gear and kayak shipping and a lot of gear which is not sponsored.

If you are thinking reading my daily updates is exciting like reading daily a few pages of a good book – you may consider supporting the author of the “book” by donating a few $$ to keep on making it happen…there is a donation button on my website…If every person enjoying my blog daily is happy to donate just a few $$ it really helps!

Thanks very much, and merry x-mas!

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword….wait there’s even more Now what if i told you there was a simple WordPress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That’s right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. Seo Plugin

Frohe Weihnachten von der Schlei,

Don Hebel

You know my wife and I follow your epic paddle every day. It’s Christmas so I suppose it’s time to demonstrate our feelings of good will toward you and ” pony up” with some material support for journey. So before the New Year begins we will hit your donation button and give what we can. You’re worth every penny! Merry Christmas Freya!

Hello Freya, I read your blogs with great admiration for you. What strength you have to kayak so many kilometers per day and to do it alone is such mental strength too. Good luck on the rest of your journey. You astonish me with your endurance and bravery.

Frohe Weihnachten, Merry Christmas, Feliz Navided, and a belated happy solstice to all of you out there.

Good will to all men (and women!)

Frances Price

I am a 56-year-old recreational kayaker, who only dreams of paddling the places you dare go, so I greatly admire you. With your blog, you paint pictures of your adventures so vividly that I can imagine myself there also. I look forward daily to checking your website after a long day teaching school in the mountains of West Virginia, so my appreciation for you and the stories you share is great indeed. I so enjoy your willingness to recount your mistakes and mishaps, as well as your daily successes. You leave me wide-eyed at your perils, and laughing along with you, too.
Thank you so much for this continued gift, Freya. I can travel vicariously with you, from the safety of my computer chair.
God bless you and your family, and give you safe passage for the remainder of your journey. Merry Christmas!

A Very Merry Christmas to you, too! Perhaps you can celebrate Christmas in July back in Germany. In the meantime, I’m getting much enjoyment, and valuable lessons in geography, paddling skills and pure human endurance from your terrific blog entries.
My next support installment will come along in January, hopefully in time to help celebrate both your visit to Cape Horn and the arrival of “Fearless” in my mailbox.

Hallo Freya, Dein Blog ist viel, viel besser als jede Soap. Du machst das sagenhaft. Viele Weihnachstgrüße von der Schlei

Freya. All I can say is that if your trip round South America is a soap opera then it’s a heck of a lotote interesting than the stuff we have on British TV. Happy Christmas and have fun.
