Highlights: Safe shady camp site close to house
Lowlights: My laptop broke down…
Launch: Calm reef sheltered beach
Landing: Wide low surf belt
Pos: here
Loc: Tibau
Acc: tent
Dist: 32,6 km
Start: 4:50 End: 11:14

All easy paddling, kind of boring, I must admit. Still it is time to get off the water an hour or at the latest two after low tide, as the wind is breezing up then, and today still a lot.

I had chosen to push on to Tibau which is a long open beach pointing northwest. I dared to deal with the surf, as the sea is really low, and two hours after low tide nothing much was rolling in (yet). I even landed and launched again as the first spot was not a good camping
possibility.

There was some tiny corner behind a cliff where I saw about 6 boats parked up the beach, and a small house with a sail and sea wall painting. A small yacht club here??? Or at least a fishermen gathering? No, just a simple tiny restaurant with no real business going on, but a friendly family living there offering me a shady camp site close to the house. Thanks!

It felt safe here close to the family, but the afternoon was long and hot out of the wind despite the shade. I played with the two small girls with
little success, and was mostly reading again. Too hot for a beach walk. When I wanted to start my new laptop, it didn’t like me any more and the screen stayed black. SHIT! I hate the electronics breaking down, and so early! So typing update on my cellphone now with some effort. Hope to get it fixed in Fortaleza…it is so annoying when basic equipment is breaking down…
