I got a visit from Christian Donoso this morning, to work on maps and sharing his experience in the area. Thanks for copying me some charts, and giving me all the informations you have! It was nice talking to you.
I kept on working online all day, but fell asleep at some point in a well earned siesta…if there would not be that one car with a permanent ringing bell driving around town…sounded like an ice cream van…later I learnt it was Father X-mas visiting every house with a kid to give some goodie bags! Nice, would have loved to see it, but he didn’t ring at my door 🙁
I got another visit in the afternoon from Ian, an Australian yachtsman who made it already a couple of times around Cape Horn, to share experiences.
Then it was food shopping time again – I knew on Fridays the two small supermarkets here are getting fresh fruit, and I was happily shopping for cherries, plums, peaches, grapes…all things I haven’t eaten for weeks!
I packed my bag of cherries for a visit to the Polarwind yacht which arrived this afternoon back in the harbor after the unsuccessful attempt to go around Cape Horn with their guests. No weather for yachties either the next days 🙁
It was nice to meet Jutta, Osvaldo and little Theo again! I kept Theo busy while Jutta was preparing a nice dinner for all of us. Thanks!
Meanwhile, the harbor had filled up with quite some yachts, and the biggest one with two masts was – a Russian one…
It was great to talk later at night again at the bar of the Micalvi clubhouse to sailors from all over the world – Australia, Britain, Austria, Russia, Sweden, Norway, Germany, and who else was around!
