Sorry, I have to leave…I felt very much at home with Sonia and Jaimie. They had the same food taste, music taste, stylish living taste…and she was the best cook I had on my trip! Yummm…yummm…nowit is back to basic tent living, basic food eating, and being by myself again. But all good!

Sonia, Jaimie, her maid Lisa and two friends were helping me this morning to get just across the street to the water, thank you very much! Some last pictures, and off I was! The wind and surf was very low, and getting around the head land no big deal. The surf on the open beach was hard to judge from offshore, the occasional big third outer line breaker did not really disappear. I had to paddle far out, not really interesting to sightsee. When the wind breezed up to a good following 15 knots, it was at least fun and efficiently fast to paddle. I made good distance, and decided to land at the river mouth.I already guessed I should better land at the southern side with this northerly wind and the river also flowing to the north, but as impatient as I am, I decided to go closer to have at least a look if there would open up an unbroken line, and then I was almost in through a funny moderate minefield of breakers.A bunch of strong bracing, and I was in the easy breaker zone and even landed at the beach before the river opening where I at least temporary spotted no people.

But soon the first cars and motor bikes came, it is Saturday and this side of the river easy to reach. I decided to launch again through four small sideways breaker lines into the calm river and to cross over to the other side where I was hoping to be by myself.I made camp, but a beach buggy and a fishing boat liked also “my” side, but no problem. As long as I have my peace…

Tomorrow will be also good following winds and relatively low seas again, and I will already reach Torres. I decided to rather discover the small chain of lagoons than staying on this endless open boring beach. It may simply be more interesting, I really have seen and paddled enough long boring open beaches!

Leo Esch who has visited me Thursday in Santa Marta, will help me with the short portage. Thanks! He would like also to paddle with me, but would have preferred the sea, as he is living at the second lagoon and paddles there a lot. Sorry! I am just a tourist and along open beach is so boring to me…

I was wondering if you ever considered changing the structure of your website? Its very well written; I love what youve got to say. But maybe you could a little more in the way of content so people could connect with it better. Youve got an awful lot of text for only having one or 2 images. Maybe you could space it out better?

Isto é realmente interessante, Você é um blogueiro muito hábil.
Eu tenho se juntou seu feed rss e ansiosamente buscando mais de seu fantástico postar.

Além disso, eu tenho compartilhou seu web site em minhas redes sociais!

Hi just wanted to give you a quick heads up and let you know a few of the pictures aren’t loading properly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same results.

Hi there, i read your blog occasionally and i own a similar one and i was just curious if you get a lot of spam responses? If so how do you reduce it, any plugin or anything you can recommend? I get so much lately it’s driving me mad so any support is very much appreciated.

Along with the whole thing which seems to be developing within this particular area, all your opinions are actually rather refreshing. On the other hand, I beg your pardon, because I do not give credence to your whole suggestion, all be it stimulating none the less. It seems to us that your opinions are generally not totally rationalized and in fact you are your self not really thoroughly certain of your assertion. In any event I did appreciate examining it.

I was looking at your planned lagoon route and wondered if you had located help to get across to the lagoon. You will likely enjoy the change of scenery, but its usually all you moving the boat in the calm waters, with no big winds and currents to help out,but you know all that.Enjoy the change up,hope the inland flies and mosquito’s are not too bad this time of year.Safe Paddling.
