Business as usual in a city: Laundry, editing and uploading pictures, calling my family, e-mails, online work. I even eventually managed to upload my GPS-tracks to the trip map which was due since Sao Luis, thanks to my partner Peter to help me with that issue…
At 7 pm, Flavia picked me up for a VIB – very important business: Making me again 10 years younger by coloring my way too many gray hair 🙂 . We had some small dinner and a delicious ice cream later, while she was driving me through Rio at night. Impressive to see all the world famous places, like the Christo statue lit on his dark mountain, kind of floating in the night sky. I really enjoyed this drive, thanks to Flavia being a good “tourist guide”, and am looking forward to repeat it during the daytime taking pictures. My kayak is stored in a secured Yacht club, but there are at least two beach spots where the kayak club members just store their kayaks on n open rack unlocked on the beach in the middle of the city. Very amazing that this is working without theft and damage!
