Pos: here
Loc: Panama City
Acc: Hennie’s and Ursula’s house

No paddling tomorrow

I woke early with a sore body, but got started also with my regular city chores – laundry, charging electronics, gear checks, online work… the whole bunch. Tim was so nice to help me to find a few leaks in the boat, some old scars were eventually letting again water in. He will repair them tomorrow, thanks! He also proved to be a great cook and house man and took good care of me today until Hennie will show up with his family tonight.
Panama City will be a nice stay!

Not much more to tell today, sorry…

Echo that sentiment from RonB! This trip so far has been so iconic you deserve legend status, and put together with your other achievements in kayaking and in life, you are truly a very unique individual. Your Kama must be vast.. You truly deserve all the success in the world.

Hope you have fun with the canal. I loved it!

Freya, what an epic adventure!! I’ve been following your travels for a good while and many, many thanks to you, I get to relive both kayaking and mountaineering in my past in South America. I’m currently shoveling the snow from the week’s storm here in King Salmon, Alaska (just off the Bering Sea) and wishing I was kayaking anywhere near Panama and Columbia! It’s been many years since I visited Panama City enroute to rock climbing in the Patagonia region of Chile and working on my oceanography studies in the Drake Passage between South America and Antarctica. After you finish your journey around S.America and rest up, consider some Alaska kayaking,….would be glad to support/help out. HUGE Congratulations on your completion of the Pacific leg and best wishes for the coming Caribbean…AND beyond! RB
