A local ox cart. This is how it worked for centuries!

Pos: here
Loc: Qudico
Acc: Gina´s house
Dist: 0 km

My own computer works again…it’s really strange.

Pictures are all uploaded, a bit of shopping is done, and the launch is set for tomorrow. The swell is a bit more down compared to today where it is around 5 meter and really crashing in a wide belt on the shallow beach. It will be open sky and no rain. The next leg is another BIG one – 80 km to the *really* safe rivermouth landing in Lebu!

I’ll launch tomorrow early morning, probably again with the help of the local fishermen. If you’s see this surf belt here, you’ll understand. The swell is a bit more down on Tuesday, but it will be rainy and the last hours night paddle will be dark. I may need between15-16 hours until 1-2 am to finish the 80 km. Fortunately not a full night again, as the last hours are always the most tough ones.

The local Navy may be so nice to escort me during the hours of the night and paddling into the rivermouth. I don’t mind, as the last corner has the biggest swell of this area. The coast turns a little north west, and the swell from south west just “piles up and collects” in there.

The next two legs will be each 60 km, with a very safe and sheltered landing. But 60 km I can just about make in this amount of daylight…

The last section to Valparaiso will have less swell, but not always a sheltered landing. I’ll check on that soon. No easy times though!

A big thanks to Gina looking after me so nicely here!

I hope the navy helps you in the night. More i hope you don´t need this and weather and water is fine.

Your new pics i study – fantastic allsome. But why you don´t eat the picorocos ? But distrust is sometimes good, otherwise i don´t had eat criadillas 🙁 (thanks to my Chile acquaintance now 🙂 )

Naturally the chile red wine is absolute recommendable and the pisco sour also.

Perhaps someone will follow you around south-america – when ever.
