trip days left: 33
straight distance left: 652,7 km
Loc: Laranjal
Acc: tent

What a rainstorm all morning! It was pouring down like never, at least it sounded like it on the roof of my equipment hall where my tent was high and dry. I had a cozy morning with a book, until I had to start online work as usual.

Gustav Feldman from M&G kayaks from Argentine who I have met already before my trip started in Alejandro’s house, was also yesterday already around, and today he was keen to try my kayak in strong wind and waves. At least he was fitting in it and he stayed upright in the empty boat 🙂 He also donated me a new cockpit cover yesterday for my worn out old one. Sometimes local kit is best! Thanks very much! Sending a new cover from my sponsor Snapdragon would have taken too long until the trip is finished.

Some food shopping as usual, and I will leave to enter the river between the two large lagoon tomorrow, escorted by a bunch of local paddlers. Uruguay, I am coming soon!

Dear Freya, really interesting pictures.
Good luck and safe paddling for the last part of your very difficult trip around South America!
