Highlights: hmmm, nothing really…
Lowlights: headwind kicked in again strong
Launch: Fat high tide dumper
Landing:Low surf
Pos: here
Loc: beach behind Prado
Acc: tent
Dist: 31,2 km
Start: 4:55 End: 12:20

Can’t believe it…at high tide, the water along the cliffs in my area reached fully to their bottom, but as soon as the tide went down a little, two motorbikes squeezed along the cliffs to my camp, and drove back again. Maybe those were just the curious fishermen I saw earlier on in front of my beach. Besides that, no one showed up. I filled two empty water bags with the relatively clean river sweet water for my evening shower, now I should last a while with my water I do have now. River water, potable (purified) water and mineral water, this time three choices on the menue- one for shower, one for cooking, one for drinking…:-)

On launching, I noticed still some headwind, hope this goes down during the day! Yesterday it was all dark and rainy, this is probably when the regular northern wind turns east-south. Today it was more sunny, headwind was lower, but at noon it kicked in strong again that I was crawling along with 3 km/h. No need to waste energy, the wind was supposed to turn again tomorrow! I decided to land.

The surf changed from the dumper on the steep beach to a low surf belt again, nothing serious, and I can land everywhere. Maybe this is also too tempting to call it a day when the head wind kicks in? Actually, now at 2 pm, it is quite down again…maybe I should not instantly putting up camp when the wind breezes up a little…it was actually close to 20 knots. But 30 km is better than nothing, but lower than my goal of 40 km for today. But my rough schedule is still matching to finish end of April. Hope it works out on the long run!
