Highlights: Learned a lot about Brazilian cell phones…
Lowlights: Boring day..
Pos: here
Loc: Fortaleza
Acc: Polyana’s house

Not much to do today…checked my gear, wrote e-mails, uploaded pictures, called my family, looked on satellite maps, all on a borrowed computer, and at night Polyana was able to take me to a shopping center to check on my cell phones and for food shopping. It turned out that the 150 Reals I put on my phone were simply eaten up by calls Peter made to my phone, as once you are leaving the one state of Brazil where you have purchased your sim card you have to pay roaming expenses like you are paying if you go another country. Not that anyone has known or told me that…you may think receiving calls all within Brazil is free, there is no sign on the phone about roaming as it does in another country…at least the internet is without roaming. So I had to simply recharge, and will have to use internet only for communication and not receiving many calls any more.

Food shopping late night is simply stressful for me, as my bio rhythm is timed to go to bed when it is dark and to get up when the sun is there. But all good. At least I found some new hopefully yummy things to eat which I can hopefully swallow out there happily enough not to run out of energy.
