Online work until 2pm, then Eduardo and Felipe picked me up to drive me to a big supermarket in Linhares where they actually live. I really enjoyed the drive through dusty back country roads first, along many farms growing, coffee, coconuts, mangoes, papayas and many other fruits. Cows were grazing at the soon becoming green landscape, everything looked lovely frugal after the dry sandy dunes area was gone.
Linhares is a moderate size large city about 50 km inland from Regencia, looking modern, clean and organized. I did my usual large basket food shopping for being independent about three weeks, the pile is always looking always like it will never fit in the kayak. But amazingly it always does…despite being generous on shopping fresh fruit.
Felipe briefly showed me his company “Linhares online” with about 27 employees, now I just realize it was his own company who repaired my laptop. Thanks again! We also passed by his wife Isabel’s doctors office to take one last picture. Very sorry I couldn’t stay in their house, they are so friendly hosts! Eduardo and also his wife Claudia yesterday did the English translation job. Very nice, thanks!

We picked my kayak from the posada I stayed in first, as tomorrow morning I’ll launch right from the beach without going back to the river landing. I re-installed my repaired footrest, packed my food until midnight and will be deadly tired on tomorrow’s paddle as usual after a busy city stay. But no problem…Felipe is planning to paddle with me for a few kilometers on his SUP! This will be an interesting combination…
