The only problem to get proper rest and recovery as usual on a day on the beach was the heat. I was hoping for some shade in the forest, but instead I got no wind, had to put the tent wrong way round on the slightly sloping back beach and couldn’t catch any breeze but too many sun rays. But I was too dead to put up my additional tarp and slept somehow anyway. No jaguars yet… At 4 pm I obviously was waking more or less out of my delirium to write my missing updates and to cook some dinner. Not that I was really hungry…my hands are swollen, my skin itches and hurts on many spots, but I think I will keep on going tomorrow. 251 km straight line to Georgetown!

I am seriously considering now if I’d call it a day there and head back home to Germany already for my x-mas break. But we’ll see…other options are to paddle until Suriname/ Paramaribo or even until French Guiana/ Cayenne to fly out for x-mas. See how it goes!

In Dk ist es Herbst geworden und die Tage sind furchtbar kurz 🙁 absolut nicht meine Lieblingsjahreszeit. Ende des Monats fliegen wir nach Chile zur Familie, alle lassen Dich recht herzlich grüssen. Mein Mann und ich wollen an einer Kajakexpedition in Nord Patagonien teilnehmen. Es werden 6 Tage werden, werde dort an Dich denken. Die Inspiration haben wir von Dir und den tollen Bildern.
