Highlights: I saw this beautiful double rainbow
Lowlights: Laptop is broken…
Launch: Low surf
Landing: Moderate surf
Pos: here
Loc: behind Mucuri
Acc: tent
Dist: 51,7 km
Start: 4:45 End: 14:50

My laptop killed itself at night, I was quite angry with all those electronics not holding up on this long trip, despite utmost care and experience how to handle. All broke down eventually – laptops, cell phones, cameras, GPS’s, e-book readers, only my sat phone is working (mostly) as always. Thank goodness. The climate is just still too hot and humid. Sure I need to have all my electronics in my Aquapacs, still moisture ist developing which can’t be prevented by any dry Silicia gel pack.  I keep them out of the sun and heat as much as possible, and dry them out as often as possible. But here it is simply not all possible…

So sorry I can’t remember much from theday’s paddle, which was likely quite uneventful. Landing was still easy surf only, all good. Camp on a boring long beach.

“After completing the Northwest Passage portion of this trip and having anchored near Herschel Island, Amundsen skied 800 kilometres to the city of Eagle, Alaska. He sent a telegram announcing his success and skied the return 800 km (500 mi) to rejoin his companions” (Wikipedia). Freya, it took Amundsen almost three years in absolute isolation to complete his trip before he could announce it to the world, so don’t worry if you can´t report yor progress for a few days!
