Rushed through organisation things all day, buy it now seems the latest forecast says the weather window tomorrow morning is closing to strong headwinds already around noon and lasts all Sunday…well, then I may at least eventually find a wifi connection somewhere to upload pics and do answer some old emails…BUT I RATHER WANT TO PADDLE!!! 🙂
At lunch I noticed my mobile phone was almost out of credit, and I texted to Alejandro to please upload credit with my credit card details as he did already three times with 10 Pesos each time…lasted a while. But suddenly this method was not possible any more, and he told me I had to find a movistar shop with Ariel to cinfirm my credit card details.
I used up more than the morning to do offline chores like editing pictures and videos and uploading my GPS tracks to home port. At 3pm Ariel picked me up and drove me to Trelew to his shop, where for sure I took a naughty look! Being a shop owner myself, I appreciated this way of running an organized shop!
We were waiting for a German speaking friend to help translate at the movistar shop, but it eventually turned out after three hours of chatting and running around you simply go to the next corner kiosco and pay some $$ cash and the guy instantly uploads you credit…can be done in any small kiosco by myself…well…thanks for all your help! Now I know…
Ariel eventually drove me back to Playa Union to “my” beach house, and we agreed to be picked up tomorrow morning 6.30 am to get started for the next paddling day.
He tried to find internet connection for me for the night, but honestly, I was too tired from the mobile phone chase all afternoon…I still hadn’t unwrapped my parcel, and had to pack some food for tomorrow. At least I received my GPS with the new Blue Chart chip again! ALejandro didn’t forward me the details of the nice guy yet who sent it from the US yet – but here is a BIG thank you!!! Please send me an e-mail who you were, to be so nice to me!
The parcel also contained my new e-book, which I really appreciated to have again! Things were even almost uploaded already…
I was still checking weather forecasts until 11pm, but then eventually decided to text Ariel it will not be worth to go out tomorrow morning…the weather window closes too early before lunch again.
