This comment from yesterday is probably typical for how most people envision my day’s off in the city: “Good luck in R.G. enyoy your days in city and take a good rest. Taste good patagonian wines and some fresh fishes in Britanico restaurant!!!”

Thanks for the best wishes, but days off in a city means only work for me – or I’d have to take off  way more than two or three days!

My “day off” started with sanding my brroken spots on my kayak, cutting fibreglas cloth stripes, mixing epoxy, and taping the broken seam, bulkheads and other cracks with the soaked stripes as well as possible. It is a dirty job, epoxy resin is quite liquid, takes a long time to hard (one day) and is dripping every where.

Eventually I felt satisfied with the surgery, and could start cleaning my t-shirt from epoxy, and the table and floor where I was working.

I moved on to other small repairs, fixing a screw here, a lose part there, and even noticed my paddle had got a beating in the shovel, and the connection got lose. But all got fixed, not good looking, but (hopefully) lasting.

Then I could only watch the resin harden over the day, pressing air bubbles out here and there while the stuff gets harder, and hoping all will be water proof eventually! I don’t have time to try waterproofness here, but it can’t be worse than before 🙂

The rest of the day was online work, other repairs, like the try of exchanging (once again) a tent zipper slider. There Horatio did call the Army expert on tent maintenance Flores, who was eventually successful with that fumbling job! Thanks for the connections!

So again a day filled with work – manual and online!
