No paddling today – chores needed to be done, and strong southerlies, increasing in the afternoon to 20-25 knots…
I did my usual stuff, editing and uploading pics, e-mailing, Google Earth, shopping and packing food, plus checking my dry suit for holes by filling it up with water – quite a job! I found some wear in the waist area which made my bum wet the last days…hope it seals over night! Plus I did a precautionary check up on my rudder system and found things to improve as well.
A surprise visit by previously unknown German kayaking friends, Christ and Hans Jörg Otto from the ACC Hamburg, was a nice change in routine. They are traveling with a camper van through South America – something which I’ll be doing one day as well! But first finishing this trip…
A brief visit to Malala’s and Marcos where Marcos presented me more of his great Fundacíon CONOCIENDO NUESTRA CASA and Malala served me some vitamins in a great green salad was rounding the day. Thanks for your help here in Puerto Deseado!
A BIG thanks as well too all Prefectura members here in Puerto Deseado! All were very helpful in many ways!
