Not much to write today – moderate annoying headwinds in the morning, changing to the better after Cabo San Pablo. Calm seas, lots of rock reefs to make a wide berth around at low tide, but enough sandy beaches in bays in between. I landed on a steep gravel one for the change, rather drag my boat uphill on gravel than across a sticky sandy flat. Launching will be easy tomorrow!

A big cave in the lime stone cliffs

I saw a few Eagles soaring over the cliffs, nice view! Plus a seal colony at Cabo San Pablo, but I didn’t even come close not to bother them, I’ve seen enough seal colonies for the next years.. 🙂

Limestone cliffs

I still felt very tired all day, and paddled with closed eyes lot of the time. Plus it was really going slow with headwinds and incoming tide all morning to make it even a bit frustrating, as I didn’t really read the “E” behind the “N” on the fore cast, which made the usual welcome northerly here a headwind!

The first river with WATER after the desert

On land, again the hinterland showed some “normalities” for me, a river with water, real grass and trees and cows plus their pads allover…really nice to be out of the desert!

Interesting bridge construction...

Another long day tomorrow, then on Friday I’ll turn around Cabo San Diego and will head south west!!! The weather seems to hold for a bit, great!

This boat has seen better times...

I really would love to be in Puerto Williams for x-mas!

Thomas

Hi Freya, thank you for your daily geography lessons 😉 I have never heard of Puerto Williams. Most people think Ushuaia ist the southernmost city on Earth. My daily Google Earth session on your trip brings me a lot of new knowledge.
