I had to stay inside all day, as I could barelywalk. Fortunately my laptop decided to work for once, though I could not be online. No wifi here, no cell phone internet working any more (though the new chip worked fine yesterday). Slightly cut off from the world, but Gelderson managed to at least fix the cell phone internet at night back to working state. Thank you!
I could at least dive into my chart on the larger computer screen to get an overview over the maze of islands and channels to come. This will be some interesting navigation! Big tides around 4 m still, though no fat river currents (mostly) I could mark a few waypoints on my GPS to guide me where I plan to paddle. It may look different in reality though. Usually every night during my laptop updates I also have a look on my large screen chart and downloaded sat images to freshen up the idea where to paddle. No paper maps available yet until half way to Sao Luis. Then I will have at least those for additional overviews if the laptop keeps quitting. For now it works again in the cool a/c room…
I also was able to save all my pictures since Cayenne which were not uploaded yet on a memory stick, just in case on my visit to the public internet cafe tomorrow my own laptop quits working again.
Besides that, not much to do. Gelderson was busy with his own things and me being forced to stay inside was good for my feet. I rather would have loved to work online already what I need to do all the time to maintain a great website and to prepare the next leg being in a city! Well, this time all about my accommodation is fine, bad luck about no wifi.

I agree with Frances; getting a daily update is absolutely amazing. Just keep in mind, when Roald Amundsen made his famous expeditions, only 100 years ago, discovering the North-West Passage and the Southpole, he dissapeared for nearly two years each time and only then he could tour the USA and Europe delivering speeches and showing his pictures (and raising some money)!
