Updates posted with a delay
For the time being Freya’s blog updates will be posted with a delay(two days currently) for safety reasons. Updates of the trip map are likewise delayed. Her family and the authorities are kept posted as normal.
Still she did have a nice paddle Thursday – no worries.

In a section titled “Milestones,” a write-up of Freya’s circumnavigation of Oz appears in the 40th Anniversary Special Collector’s issue of Canoe & Kayak magazine (pg. 65 for those of your keeping track at home).

I think it is a pity that you do not have a paddling companion for the sections of your expedition that are considered risky– even a navel escort.
It is enough that you paddle these waters and I see nothing wrong with you having company.
Prudence is the better part of valor.
Freya’s journey along the rest of Ecuadorian and upcoming Colombian Pacific coasts would be safer if her overnight / resting locations are chosen / scheduled, if feasible, in coastal villages or towns.
I hope the marvels of the tropical fauna and flora will make Freya’s journey a wonderful one which we all will be able to experience through her photographic diary.

Det er godt Peter. Det er vigtigt at hun passer på sig, Hun kan jo altid senere skrive om hendes oplevelse. Håber at den ekuatorianske søværn passer på hende. Skulle I ellers have behov for hjælp. sig bare til.
