Day 291, Wednesday, 04.11.2009

I actually can’t remember much about that day besides being another easy 70 km paddle along a sandy reefy beach with low following wind. I could land easy for a pee or for some snacks on piles of seaweed.

Greg drove down the track to Noonaera, where there were some ruins and a rockhole (well) with fresh water. We went for a quick drive inland to check on them. Nice to see!

Text message from Freya via satellite phone:

32.07 127.47, Noonaera.  70 km, 5:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. A flatwater paddle again with increasing headwinds. Piles of seaweed on the beach.

Chuck H.

You’re fast closing in on Eucla. Good show!
Hope the weather cooperates so moonlight can help illuminate the way past the next line of cliffs.
