Wind and current from the back!

Pos: here
Loc: Bonasse
Acc: tent
Dist: 53,8 km
Start: 5:05 End: 14:50

That nightwatch guy last night – was he nuts to drive down at 11.30 pm to the place where I have my tent and my “paddling partner” was sleeping on top of an old boat under a roof? Not only flashing the bright lights of his car right on my tent, no, he was calling out loud:” Good night! Good night! Hello! Hello! Is everything ok?” I didn’t bother to answer, sure I was sleeping already, Alloy did talk to him with a “happy” but sleepy voice. The same at 3.30 am, just with the “good morning” variation. If I’d have been by myself, I’d have kicked his ass, or probably rather would have not answered at all. And then, when he’d not get an answer and would have been shaking my tent or such I’d have answered him:”I am dead, this is why I am not answering…”

I was ready to go at 5 pm, Alloy wanted to start later. Ok… but he must have changed his mind then and not started at all or has turned around, as I haven’t seen him any more all day. Also ok. Unfortunately I noticed I have lost my blue towel at this camp site… I enjoyed a friendly paddling day at my pace with the current and low wind in my back, going unusually south west and the wind is mostly north east. Easy going, lots of rests and still making progress… as I think this may have been the one and only “lazy” day like this, I enjoyed it even more. Some rain in the afternoon, but no wind.

I paddled past many many oil rigs and matching working ships, but few fishing boats. No wonder, as the oil rigs must be leaking somewhere as I was paddling quite often through a floating oil field, yuck! Disgusting.

Glenn has given me as a safe destination today the way point of a coast guard and immigration/ customs station, but no one really knew about my arrival. They wanted to get me through the customs/immigration process again, as my checkout in Charguramas was two days ago, but then were so friendly to leave the paperwork as it was and allowed me to camp in sight of the station. Thanks! I could even use their shower, but it proved to be useless with later the sweat was running down again in my tent. Well…

Be sure that you have Silhouette Studio Designer Edition running and adhere to these easy actions to start! While it is crucial to have Silhouette Studio Designer Edition to import SVGs there is yet another step you’ve got to take to receive them actually cut. I am aware I’ve missed lots of nice anime collection, so should you have any suggestion, don’t hesitate to share about it in the comment section!

At this time it seems like Drupal is the best blogging platform out there right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you are using on your blog?

I guess I should have left everything up to Roger, who knows all about camping out and being left alone in peace. Unfortunately I’d also mentioned your presence to the General Manager of the company, and the security figured they’d be in deep shit if anything happened to you. The Coast Guard are just not very efficient when it comes to communication, I’ve had my own issues with them in the past. I guess by now you’ve realized that the current in the Gulf makes a “figure of eight” because of the influence of the Orinoco. I’m sure Customs and Immigration had to waive your extended departure time because they couldn’t process anyone who wasn’t “suitably attired”. Tomorrow you’ll get a preview of the Orinoco, since at this time of the year the sea on the south coast is littered with vegetation brought down by it. Safe passage through the “Serpent’s Mouth”.

Hopefully getting the sweat thoroughly washed off, even temporarily, is good for your healing sores. Glad you had a pleasant day paddling, Freya, and that your sleep is uninterrupted!
