A message from Freya:
I’ll be giving a talk and Q & A session in the Yacht Club in Victuor Harbor on Dec 3rd, 7.30 pm (as I did in Perth). I’d be happy to have plenty of people join me for the evening and talk about everything you ever liked to know about me and my trip!
A donation of $10 per person to help me cover my trip expenses would be most welcome.

Mike is on to something.
Canada’s Fur Trade Canoe Routes are beckoning Freya.
3000 miles of paddling from Rocky Mountain House to Lachine (Montreal) via Grand Portage.
Beautiful scenery, the occasional black fly and a wonderful connection with Canada’s history.
Freya,
My question, if I were present at your talk, “what are the indicators, from the perspective of a kayak paddler at sea as you are considering a place to run the surf in to shore, that help you make a “go” or “no go” decision.
Obviously having a scout onshore who can relay info by radio or phone or a guide paddle in with you is best. But if you are alone, what helps you make the decision to tackle one area of surf versus another?
All the best!
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! A video available for all of us in North America, too. Well, that’s unless you are planning on paddling across the Pacific and east through the lakes and rivers to Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I wish!
Any chance of having a video made of this talk? I’d be delighted to buy one, and help defray any expenses.,
