Not much to tell, online business as usual.
We eventually agreed there is no cheaper way than to rent a car and drive myself, including the unbelievably high fee for the one way rent. This whole returned stretch now did cost me almost more money than I spent on the whole trip, and a lot of stress for me and my helpers. :-((
We will go and buy some foam, straps or ropes for the roof tomorrow to attach the kayak, also already to buy some food for the new leg. I will be able to stay with Pericles in Fortaleza for the night and to pick my laptop, not sure yet though where to stay in Recife though. Is there anyone in Recife happy to host me for two nights? I will first have to repair my broken out bulkhead once I arrive in Recife, and this has to dry properly. The Yachtclub or a pousada would be one option to stay, but some private person would be nicer!
